The North Carolina Department of Revenue will sponsor its 2018 Motor Carrier Seminar series in six locations across North Carolina beginning July 10, through July 26.
The Department of Revenue’s Excise Tax, Examination, and Tax Enforcement divisions will partner with the Internal Revenue Service, North Carolina International Registration Plan, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol for the comprehensive, one-day seminars.
Topics covered include updates to tax laws affecting motor carriers, amendments to the IFTA and IRP manuals, record keeping and compliance requirements, and common issues with lease agreements, powers of attorney, and temporary trip permits. There is no fee to attend the seminars but registration is required.
